The searchhelp option for inputfields provides a list of available entry values for a given inputfield.
Searchhelp is an aid to users looking for a specific value to enter into a field. When the user invokes the input help for a given field or screen, the system will typically return all of the available values for that field or screen in SAP. Searchhelp can be customized to be field-dependent. In other words, the values displayed by searchhelp can be customized depending on what values are entered by users in other fields. The syntax is as follows:
{"searchhelp":"searchhelp_table", "searchhelp_option":"value"…}
The following options are available for use with searchhelp:
Specifies that data other than the default value will be displayed in the designated destination.
Specifies up to nine fields that will be populated.
Specifies up to nine descriptions that will be displayed.
Specifies up to nine fields that can be used to restrict the data returned by the searchhelp.
Specifies up to nine associated values that are used to restrict the data returned by the searchhelp.
