View status messages in SAP.
The statusmessage command is used when it is necessary to view messages relating to the status of a particular SAP session or connection. The command is typically executed within a function and produces the following outcomes:
All messages are displayed in an onscreen message box. The syntax to define the onscreen box that will contain the status message is as follows:
statusmessage({"title":"Title", "size":[rows, cols], "position":[startRow, startCol]});
The statusmessage command takes the following options:
Adds a custom message within the dialog box (listbox). The syntax is:
{"addstring":"new message string"}
Variables can be used with this option to pass content to the statusmessage. If a variable is used, the syntax is as shown below:
{"addstring":variable_name}
Specifies the onscreen position of the messagebox. The syntax is:
{"position":[startRow, startCol]}
Removes the listbox from the screen. Do not use this in the initial statusmessage command or the listbox will disappear even as it is called. The syntax is:
{"remove":true}
Specifies the size of the onscreen listbox in rows and columns. The syntax is:
{"size":[rows,cols]}
Creates the title of an onscreen listbox. As in the case of the addstring option, variables can be used to pass content to the status message. The syntax is:
{"title":"title_string"}
Variables can also be used to designate the title. If a variable is used, the syntax is as follows:
{"title":variable_name}
