Creating launchpads

One of the most useful applications of pushbuttons is the creation of custom launchpads. These launchpads can be tied to SAP transaction codes (tcodes) or to other functions to call custom operations. In the following example, we will crate a set of pushbuttons tied to SAP transaction codes.

  1. Go to the Easy Access screen in SAP. It appears as follows:

  2. Open the Easy Access script file (SAPLSMTR_NAVIGATION.E0100.sjs) and enter the following code. Create the file if it does not already exist.
    for(a=firstChild; a!=null; a=a.nextSibling)
    	a.del( );
    box( {"offset":[8,4]}, {"offset":[16,50]}, "Quick Links");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[10,6]}, "View Notifications", "/niw30");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[12,6]}, "View Work Orders", "/niw33");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[14,6]}, "Create Sales Order", "/nva01");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[10,28]}, "Display Sales Order", "/nva03");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[12,28]}, "Change Sales Order", "/nva02");
    pushbutton( {"offset":[14,28]}, "Create New Material", "/nmm01");

  3. Save your changes and refresh the SAP screen.

The Easy Access screen now appears as shown below. Press the buttons to launch each transaction.
