Using the searchhelp option

Navigate to the VA01 Overview screen in SAP and open the 'SAPMV45A.E4001.sjs' script file. Create this file if it does not already exist. All additions will be made to this file.

The VA01 overview screen appears as follows:



To add searchhelp to an user-created column in the All items table,please do the following:

  1. Add the following code to the script file:

    column("Test Column", {"table":"All items", "size":10, "name":"z_testcol", "position":1, "searchhelp":"S_MAT1", "shname":"MATNR", "shname1":"VBAB_MATNR", "shdest1":"V[z_testcol_desc]"});

  2. The table now appears as shown below:



  3. Click on the searchhelp icon beside the newly-created column.

  4. The following searchhelp window will display:
