Server Debugging

Enabling additional debugging on the GuiXT Server.

Ther may be times when you need more debugging tools than those that are turned on by default. GuiXT Server offers a number of such tools and you can do any of the following:

• Activating GuiXT Trace
• Adding Trace Options to sapproxy.ini
• Running GuiXT Server in Debug Mode
• Running Debug Version of GuiXT Server
• Using the Limit Trigger
• Using the Server Memory Profile

These tools are explained in the following sections. However, please note that if you make any changes to either the sapproxy.ini or to the guixt.ini/guixt.sjs configuration files, you must restaart GuiXT Server. To validate any such changes to these files, please do the following:

1. Copy the following three files from the GuiXT Server folder to the SAP GUI folder on a local machine:

   • guixt.exe
   • guixt.dll
   • guixt.ini / guixt.sjs
2. Log into SAP via the desktop SAP GUI.
3. Verify that your changes have taken effect.
